The makers of Naa Saami Ranga are gearing up for an explosive Sankranti weekend where their film will be pitted against four major Telugu releases and three big Tamil releases. The Nagarjuna led film concluded filming on December 29, following which the film has been in post production. With an official release date, only recently set, the makers of the film now have a fresh update for their audience - a new teaser.
For the unversed, Naa Saami Ranga is led by Nagarjuna with Ashika Ranganath starring opposite him. Their chemistry and evident romantic track in the film was portrayed in Naa Saami Ranga's first single, Etthukelli Povaalanipisthunde. The lyrical video featured Nagarjuna and Ashika against a village backdrop with the former wooing the latter.
The latest update from the film, released earlier today, spotlights a second love story, seminal enough to the plot to warrant a separate teaser. The teaser shows Raj Tharun and Rukshar Dhillon's college romance, set in 1985. Naa Saami Ranga has been directed by Vijay Binni with the musical score for the same having been composed by Academy Award winner MM Keeravaani. The film will release in theatres on January 14.
Naa Saami Ranga will not be directly clashing with any film at the box office, given its release date of January 14. However, it stands flanked by a hefty lineup of major releases hitting theatres a day or two before it, ensuring stiff competition for audience traction and footfall. January 12 will see a three-way box office clash between Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram, Teja Sajja's Hanu Man and Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD.
January 13 will see Ravi Teja's Eagle clash with Venkatesh's Saindhav. Also releasing over the Sankranthi weekend are Tamil biggies Captain Miller starring Dhanush, Lal Salaam starring Rajinikanth and Ayalaan starring Sivakarthikeyan.
