On Wednesday, May 15, a grenade blast was reported outside a mall on Zoo road in Assam's Guwahati. 

Here is what we know till now:

  • The grenade blast too place opposite Central Mall, Zoo Road in Guwahati, Assam.
     
  • Two people have reportedly died in the blast
     
  • Six people are reported to be injured in the explosion at the time of publishing. They have been moved to Guwahati Medical College Hospital
     
  • As per reports, ULFA-I (Independent) has taken responsibility for the attack and it is believed to have targeted a CRPF convoy
     
  • Deepak Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Guwahati confirmed that the grenade blast took place at 8 pm. He added that investigations are underway
