Former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan took to Twitter to pay condolences to the family of the slain BJP MLA.

He wrote, "Humble tributes to BJP leader Manoj Thackeray! Today Balwadi has lost a young leader. I pray to God to give his family strength and peace to bear the sad occasion".

Furthermore, he condemned the recent incidents of crime against BJP leaders including Prahlad Badwar, adding that there's a 'fear of deep conspiracy' behind the incident. Attacking Congress-led government in Madhya Pradesh, he went on to demand the CBI to probe the case.

"There is a sense of deep conspiracy behind it. The CBI should investigate it. The perpetrators have become fearless, people are being killed in daylight. Was the Congress slogan 'time for change' meant for such 'changes' only?"
