A massive fire broke out in the top floors and terrace of the Pamposh hotel in Srinagar

Update at 5:27 PM: The firefighters are still trying their level best to douse the fire. 

Update at 5:00 PM: Eight people have sustained minor injuries. 20 fire tenders are present here: Fire officer

Update at 4:30 PM: There are offices of several media houses here. 20-22 fire tenders, teams of fire and emergency services, disaster management, SDRF are here. There's no loss of life, people have been evacuated. A member of fire services was injured & sent to hospital: DC Srinagar

Update at 2:20 PM: No individual injured or any casualty reported till now from the fire which has broken out in the Pamposh hotel, Srinagar. All the guests and staff have been evacuated.

A massive fire broke out in the top floors and terrace of the Pamposh hotel in Srinagar. Many fire tenders were rushed to the spot to tackle the blaze. Early reports suggest that a short circuit had caused the fire. The hotel is one of the most prominent and oldest hotels in the city, and has many offices of media houses in its premises.
