In a shocking incident, a huge wall has collapsed at the Paper Box Industrial Estate in MIDC in Mumbai's Andheri East area on Monday. The wall collapsed at around 11:53 in the morning due to incessant rain in the region.
A video of the incident has been accessed by Republic showing the wall collapsing amid heavy rainfall in the region. The video appears to have been shot by the locals in the area. In the video, a two-wheeler was seen getting submerged in the debris of the wall.
A man has suffered injuries as per reports and he has been taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, police and the Mumbai Fire Brigade have been mobilised to the area.
As per reports, heavy showers have made a comeback in Mumbai, a week after the city faced incessant rainfall for almost three weeks. The eastern suburbs are facing more problems as the rainfall has caused waterlogging, causing delays in trains by half and hour or more. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has shared that the efforts will be carried out to pump out the logged water. They also extended their apologies for the same and assured all the help to Mumbaikars:
