On Thursday, when Supreme Court heard the petition of Major Aditya’s father Lt. Col. Karamveer Singh to protect the Indian Army soldier under the constitution and law of the land, Republic TV reported from International Border (IB) in Suchetgarh, Jammu and Kashmir.
Republic TV’s Associate Editor Aditya Raj Kaul traveled near the International Border in Suchetgarh of Jammu and Kashmir with the Border Security Force (BSF) and got exclusive access to the first line of defence.
“Through the medium of your channel, we want to say that we also have families, but India’s security is the most important. We will first do our service for the country and then think about ourselves," a BSF jawan on the IB told Republic TV.
He said, "I want to tell our citizens that you don’t worry, we are there at the border for your security."
Another BSF jawan told Republic TV, “We are ready, physically and mentally, 24 hours for our country. You are safe there if we are here.”
