On Sunday, the district's MP revealed that the cops arrived at the scene of crime '3 hours' after the incident took place, and did not even file an FIR immediately. Speaking for the delay in the case, ASP of Supaul on Monday gave a statement,

"The registration of the case got delayed because the warden of the school was taking care of the girls who had been admitted in the hospital after the shocking attack on them. She also could not given us a proper description of the victims on time”.

The warden had also spoken about the attack on the girls stating that ‘a fight broke when the kids were playing outside in the field. A boy named Mohan from the neighbourhood and his mother had a with the girls. During the fight, they started hurling bad words at the girls. I condemned it and said I would call the HDO. After seeing that the girls are getting beaten, I called the HDO. Many from the district were involved’.
