Several people are reportedly trapped under debris after an under-constructed building collapsed near New Bus Stand in Dharwad.

Several people are reportedly trapped under debris after an under-constructed building collapsed near New Bus Stand in Dharwad. Those trapped are said to be labourers working on the construction site.
An operation is underway to rescue those trapped under rubble and authorities say it may take 4 more hours for all the debris to be cleared. The reason behind the collapse was not immediately known. An adjacent building in the vicinity has also developed cracks and is being vacated.

Rescue operation is still underway in Dharwad's Kumareshwar Nagar where an under-construction building collapsed last night. An NDRF team is also participating in the operation. At least 37 people have been rescued so far. 2 people have died in the collapse.
