The Mumbai Police is not a newbie when it comes to tweeting out catchy tweets and pictures. And on Tuesday, like always, the financial capital's police force decided to give a shoutout using to their counterparts across the country by latching on to a viral trend.

The Mumbai Police is not a newbie when it comes to tweeting out catchy tweets and pictures. And on Tuesday, like always, the financial capital's police force decided to give a shoutout using to their counterparts across the country by latching on to a viral trend. 

This time, the subject of the Mumbai Police's tweet was the 'Khaki Coloured Uniforms'. The Twitter handle of the Mumbai Police Force uploaded a picture of a constable in his khaki uniform whilst holding his baton. The picture is clicked amidst a busy street and the city's high-rises. With this post, Mumbai Police maintained its top-of-the-line social media game.

The Khaki coloured police uniforms have been used since the times of the imperial British rule in India. They were first brought in and introduced to the police force in 1848 and were retained after independence. The Khaki is a crucial colour as it assures people regarding the safety and guarantee by the city's police force. The uniform restores faith and confidence among the masses.
