When confronted, the former Mayor brazenly said that he thrashed the men out of public interest. Vaidya asserted that he had been asking the chicken traders to move their vehicles since a while. He further said that the traders were ignoring his requests and hence it led him to take these drastic measures. Talking to the media, Vaidya said:

"I have been raising this parking issue with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for the last two year but no action has been taken. So I had to take this action,"

Vaidya also mentioned that the parked carriers were creating a nuisance and let to hygiene problems within the area. He also added that people who commute through Mahim Railway Station have to endure the smell and trash that lies near the station premises.

REVELATION: MNS Leader Emerges At Forefront Of Shocking Physical Assault On BMC Official Over Flooding In A Mumbai Building

However, Vaidya is not the only one to make news related to physical assault. Earlier on Wednesday, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Dinesh Salve was seen assaulting a BMC official in a building in Mumbai Kandivali suburb. The incident happened a day after Mumbai was under the effect of continuous heavy rainfall. As the basement got submerged in water, several cars parked inside the basement also got immersed in water. As per sources, BMC did not take the initiative to take out the water, which is why infuriated people, led by the MNS leader, thrashed the BMC official.

In a similar way, Congress legislator Nitesh Rane too resorted to violent methods. Nitesh Rane is the son of the Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Narayan Rane. He attacked and threw mud on Highway Engineer Prakash Shedekar. Rane said that the local administration was not repairing the potholes on the highway which infuriated him and hence his supporters resorted to throwing mud on highway engineer and tightened him with rope.  The MLA also hurled abuses on the govt official and tied him with a rope and threatened him.

Another major case emerged from Madhya Pradesh's Indore where BJP MP Kailash Vijayvargiya's son Akash Vijayvargiya used a cricket bat to thrash civic officials. Following the incident, he was arrested by the Police, and after his bail, as he remained brazen, PM Modi sent a stern message that such behaviour would not be tolerated from BJP leaders.
