Maharashtra is facing severe water crisis in many parties of the state. Earlier, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, had announced a drought-like situation in 180 talukas of the state. Despite the announcement from the government, all the opposition parties have been targeting BJP and Shiv Sena over water scarcity. Recently, Raj Thackeray had attacked Uddhav Thackeray over the drought situation in Maharashtra and questioned: "What Shiv Sena has been doing in the government?". Looks like Raj Thackeray’s direct attack has miffed Shiv Sena.

Hitting back at Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray through the party mouthpiece Samana, without naming Raj Thackeray, Saamna editorial reads

"From rural parts to cabinet meetings, everywhere Shiv Sena leaders had raised drought issue and put all-rounded pressure on the government. In Shivaji park’s Dussehra rally also party chief Uddhav Thackeray had raised this issue.

It further continued with the 'over smart comment' that was directed towards Raj Thackeray:

"It was because of the Shiv Sena, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis had announced a drought like situations in half parts of the state. It was the victory of Shiv Sena and therefore, before asking what Shiv Sena has been doing in the government, over smart, motormouth person should neatly understand what Shiv Sena is doing on the issue of drought. Yes, We are in the government but to raise the problems, issues of the people which they have been facing in the state."

With this war of words between MNS and Shiv Sena, it is clear that both parties are in an attacking mood. As the Lok Sabha polls are around the corner, Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray have already started their Maharashtra tour. Raj has been on the tour of Vidarbha whereas Uddhav visited Ahmednagar district.

After splitting from the Sena, Raj Thackeray had started his own party in 2005 and since then he has continuously been attacking Shiv Sena. On the other hand, Uddhav Thackeray has also told his party men to be an aggressive against their opponents and answer them in their own language". Overall, it would be interesting to see the fight for votes between both the brothers.
