Moments after the scuffle between AAP supporters and BJP MP Manoj Tiwari-led cadre during the inauguration ceremony of the Signature Bridge in New Delhi on Sunday, Republic TV has accessed a video from the event which clearly shows AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan, who had earlier had a case filed against him in the Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash alleged assault case, again indulging in violence by pushing Manoj Tiwari in the presence of the police.
In the video, Manoj Tiwari is seen standing on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony. There is a police personnel all around the BJP MP. Amanatullah Khan then comes in front of Manoj Tiwari and as soon as he sees him, he pushes him to the back, asking for him to be taken away. As Manoj Tiwari regains his balance and comes to retaliate, the police intervenes and prevents any resulting fiscicuffs. At this point, Amanatullah Khan and Manoj Tiwari partake in a verbal spat, while Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is giving his speech in the background.
Earlier in the day, BJP Delhi chief Manoj Tiwari supporters and AAP-cadre got involved in a scuffle, when the former went to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Signature Bridge, to be unveiled by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
There has been plenty said regarding taking credit for the bridge, which the Delhi CM also sees as a tourist attraction. However, Manoj Tiwari, the local MP, has also cited his own contributions towards the half-kilometre-long structure.
Delhi BJP MP revealed that while it was him who re-initiated the construction of the Signature bridge in his constituency (North East Delhi), now, the AAP and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal were organizing the inauguration ceremony.
