A mob of people in Jharkhand's Godda district attacked police officers on duty for stopping a religious congregation and enforcing the lockdown on Friday.


A mob in Jharkhand's Godda district attacked police officers on duty for stopping a religious congregation and enforcing the lockdown on Friday. The incident took place in Thakur Gangti block where a group of people had gone for prayers in a mosque and they were stopped by local policemen.

Reacting to this, the mob started pelting stones at the cops which left several policemen injured and police vans damaged. Five people were reportedly arrested.
