Dr Krishnamurthy Subramanian appointed as new CEA for 3 years

Dr Krishnamurthy Subramanian has been appointed as the new Chief Economic Advisor CEA. He will be CEA for at least three years.

Dr Krishnamurthy Subramanian has been appointed as the new Chief Economic Advisor CEA. He will be CEA for at least three years.

He is presently working as the Associate Professor of Finance (with tenure) for the Indian School of business

He is a PhD from Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. He also studied Master of Business Administration (MBA), Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from the university.

He is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta and IIT Kanpur.

He had worked formerly in the JPMorgan Chase in New York. He had also served as in a management role in the elite derivatives research group at ICICI Ltd.

CEA Arvind Subramanian had resigned in July 2018. He had cited personal reasons for his departure.
