As the countdown to Lok Sabha elections 2019 has begun, the nation is gearing to cast their vote to elect a new government. With hardly a month left for the Lok Sabha polls to commence in the 29 states and 7 Union Territories, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media, on Wednesday, urging the eminent personalities from the film fraternity to come ahead and 'ensure high voter awareness and participation in the coming elections'.

Apart from them, PM Narendra Modi has also requested other Bollywood members in the likes of Deepika Padukone, Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt to encourage a large 2019 election voter turnout

The Election Commission on Sunday announced the dates of General Elections 2019. The nation will go into polls in seven phases beginning from April 11 till May 19. The counting of votes for all the states is scheduled to take place on May 23.
