Aiming to rope in a large number of people in preparing “Sankalp patra (agenda for governance)”, BJP had kicked off a pair of programs geared towards the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, with party president Amit Shah initiating 'Bharat Ke Mann Ki Baat - Modi Ke Saath' and the 'Sankalp Patra' initiative. Home Minister Rajnath Singh chaired the Manifesto committee meeting on Monday for the same.
(Bhupendra Yadav, Radha Mohan Singh, Hardeep Singh Puri, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Nirmala Sitharaman were among other BJP leaders who attended the meeting.)
The BJP has formed various sub-groups for the preparation of the “Sankalp Patra”.
Earlier, Bharatiya Janata Party had flagged off three vehicles (Rath) to seek suggestions from people for drafting party’s election manifesto ‘Sankalp Patra’. BJP national vice president Raman Singh who led the party to a crushing defeat in recently held assembly polls, flagged off the yatra at party office here. The vehicles have been sent to three revenue divisions- Bastar, Surguja and Raipur. The vehicles will cover all 90 state assembly constituencies and the drive will conclude in a month period.
Based on public suggestions, BJP will prepare its election manifesto for Lok Sabha 2019 polls. BJP state president Dharamlal Kaushik said that suggestions received from the public will be forwarded to Central party office.
