Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi on Thursday said that BJP might have to engage in resort politics over the trends of Haryana assembly election results. Singhvi's comments on Twitter surfaced as the gap in the number of seats in which BJP and Congress are leading (based on latest trends) began to close in. As per the latest trends, the BJP is leading in 43 seats in Haryana and the Congress is leading in 28 seats.

Parties begin parleying in Haryana

Sources have informed that it would be upto Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) to play the kingmaker. As per sources, Congress leaders Devendra Hooda and Bhupinder Hooda are meeting with JJP's Dushyant Singh. JJP is leading in ten seats, as per latest trends.

Resort politics in BJP, Congress

Singhvi's comments come in the backdrop of the fall of Congress-JD(S) government in Karnataka. The coalition had collapsed after failing to win the no-confident motion in the Vidhan Souda in July. Several MLAs, most of them from Congress had rebelled and during the tenacious period, the Congress, BJP and JD(S) had moved their MLAs to a resort to avoid horse-trading of their politicians.
