Congress party's Alka Lamba attacks Manohar Lal Khattar on Twitter

Congress party member Alka Lamba attacked Haryana CM for his remarks on Sonia Gandhi where he had compared her to a 'mari hui chuiya' while addressing a rally

Ahead of the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, former Aam Admi Party member and the current Congress party member Alka Lamba has called out Haryana Chief Minister Manoharlal Khattar on Twitter. Lamba has been releasing a series of tweets on her official Twitter handle, targeting the Haryana CM on his comments about Sonia Gandhi.

Haryana Chief Minister's statement

Addressing an election rally, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar recalled, "After losing the Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi resigned as the Congress President and started saying that the party should get new president from outside Gandhi family." CM Lal added, "We thought this was good, to move away from nepotism (parivarvad)... But they spent three months moving around the country in search of a new party president. After three months who became the president? Sonia Gandhi. Khoda Pahar Nikli Chuiya... This is their condition," added Khattar.

Alka Lamba asks Khattar to apologise 

Calling it a Narrow and 'Sanghi' attitude, Alka Lamba released a video in response to CM Khattar's statement on Twitter.

In the video, Alka Lamba alleges Haryana Chief Minister of supporting BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar who is the main accused in the Unnao rape case and was booked under the POCSO Act. He has also been accused of murder, attempt to murder, criminal conspiracy and criminal intimidation.

In the second part of the video, Alka Lamba also asked all the female sports personalities who are contesting the Haryana State elections under the BJP ticket to make their stand clear on CM ML Khattar's statement on Sonia Gandhi.

Haryana Assembly elections

The assembly elections in Haryana will be taking place on October 21, along with Maharashtra assembly polls in a single phase. The counting of votes will take place on October 24. BJP under the leadership of PM Modi and party chief Amit Shah is gearing for the assembly polls with rallies and processions.
