Deadlock continues between Congress and RJD as parties squabble over seat-sharing in Bihar: Sources
After receiving setbacks in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra where some of its older allies refused to join hands with the party for the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress gathbandhan in Bihar too seems to be crumbling.

As per sources, with 23 days left for the polls, the Congress and RJD are in a deadlock over seat sharing.
Congress has demanded eleven seats of its choice to contest in Bihar. While RJD too has said that it would contest from eight specific seats, sources said.
Congress has not buckled down on its demand and even announced that it will contest from the eleven seats.
Tejashwi Yadav who is in Delhi for talks on seat sharing with the Congress but the talks have been inconclusive, the sources added.
As per sources, Tejashwi Yadav also told his father Lalu Pratap Yadav to snap ties with the Congress as the party does not have any base. He said that the RJD should instead ally with other regional parties like HAM, RLSP, VIP, and Left parties. However, Lalu Prasad Yadav is keen on having Congress albeit on his terms.
Sources have said Wednesday is the final day for the Congress to try to make it work with the RJD to form an alliance.
In Uttar Pradesh, the Congress is grappling to have Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party in its coalition. It even kept seven seats for the for SP, BSP, and RLD.
However, the offer did not bite and Mayawati has categorically denied any chances of coalition with the Congress.
The former UP CM lashed out at Congress saying that the there are no chances of an alliance of BSP-SP with Congress in any state of the country. She tweeted:
"The BSP, once again, wants to make it clear that we don't have any synergies or alliance with Congress in Uttar Pradesh or any other part of the country. Our people must not get confused with the misleading information spread by the Congress party".
