Special Investigative Team (SIT) stung RLSP MP from Bihar's Sitamarhi constituency Ram Kumar Sharma, exposing how he put the essence of Indian democracy for sale. From 'Hundi' to price tag for questions in Parliament, here are five explosive clinchers from RLSP MP Ram Kumar Sharma's sting operation.

1. Caught on tape, the RLSP MP openly talks about how much money is spent in the elections, proving that lawmakers place bets on the electoral process to fill in their pockets.

“In any election, like up to Rs 50 crores are spent during an election in Andhra. But, in Bihar - Uttar Pradesh, it's not the case of Rs. 50 crores. Here too, but Rs. 10 crores are needed. At less than 10 crores, there are no elections here as well. Rs. 10-12-15 crores are needed here,” RLSP MP Ram Kumar Sharma said during the sting.

2. The sitting MP from Bihar's Sitamarhi constituency who talks of how funds are collected by various ways, including Hundi(hawala) (which violate the EC's model code of conduct).

On being asked by Republic reporter on how to send the money, Ram Kumar Sharma says, "You can send through hoondi (havala)".

3. In yet another shocker, Ram Kumar Sharma implicates that the questions that are asked in the Parliament by the MPs can be 'bought' only with a certain crore rupees.

On being asked what will be the 'price of a question' in parliament, the RSLP MP implicated on a price tag of Rs 5 crore or Rs 10 crore. He later claimed that “the question was sent, we used to type the question and stick onto a letter pad” while discussing pricing on questions.

4. With the 'manage ho jayega attitude' the investigation exposed the RLSP MP's orientation towards the responsibilities that the people of India elect him to do. The sting exposed the mindset of MPs' who rely on cash for favours for the jobs that they do.

On the tape, RLSP MP Ram Kumar Sharma kept on saying that “everything can be managed, everything can be managed” and “it will be managed”.

5. In another questionable statement, he goes onto reveal that there are many 'senior officers' who are working with him in the fraud of the electoral process. In the tape, he can be heard saying, 'Say 20-25 big officers are close to us'.
