Election is the make or break time for all the political parties and everyone associated with it for whom it is a career-changing situation. The intense campaigning that takes place for weeks, even months, says it all about how much the political leaders' lives depend on the election. However, the time for campaigning and rallying is over, the citizens have decided who they want to want to vote for, and the process towards it started with the Lok Sabha polls kicking off on Thursday. Several Bollywood stars took to Twitter to urge their fans to go ahead and vote.
Abhishek Bachchan wrote, “Go Vote! #Election2019 #VoteKar.”
Gul Panag, who had fought in the previous Lok Sabha polls, “Voting is a constitutional right that we are privileged to have. Let’s not take it for granted. Our Constitution has given us this right to elect who we want running our great country. Go cast your vote. Good luck India.”
Richa Chadha tweeted, “First phase ! Go vote people!”
‘Raees’ director Rahul Dholakia wrote, “The largest democracy in the world goes to vote ! #IncredibleIndia.”
Divya Dutta too took to Twitter on the occasion and posted, “And yes #GoVote 2019. Please.”
Twenty states with 91 seats went to polls during the Phase I of the Lok Sabha elections on Thursday. The polls will see seats from where high profile candidates (including Union Ministers) are fighting.
Nitin Gadkari, Kiren Rijiju, VK Singh, Mahesh Sharma, Hansraj Ahir, Agatha Sangma, Mukul Sangma, Harish Rawat, Ajay Tamta, Jayant Chaudhary, Satyapal Singh, Nabam Tuki, Renuka Chowdary, Nama Nageswara Rao, Chirag Paswan, Asaduddin Owaisi are some of the key candidates contesting polls during Phase I.
