Here's how BJP's Tajinder Bagga is protesting against Siddaramaiah's controversial 'tilak' remark at a Congress rally

Former Karnataka Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah courted massive controversy on Tuesday after he made a distasteful comment about people those who wear tilak on their forehead.

In reference to his remarks, the BJP has hit back at the politician by beginning a campaign against him. Party's spokesperson Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has initiated a campaign on social media wherein he is requesting the users to wear tilak on their forehead and share the picture on Twitter.

"I am tweeting My pic with Tilak to show Protest against Anti Hindu/Anti Indian Culture CM Siddaramaiah . I request everyone to Tweet your Pic/Selfie with Tilak ,Tag @siddaramaiah with Hashtag #SelfieWithTilak," his Twitter post read.

Speaking at an event to inaugurate a lake rejuvenation project in Badami, the former CM singled out a person who was wearing a 'tilak', pointed towards his forehead and made the irresponsible remark. He said that he is “afraid of anyone who wears a kumkum tilak on their forehead”.

"I am scared of people who wear kumkum on their forehead this way. You must finish the work in the scheduled time. I don't know why but I am scared of those people who wear long tilaks".

This isn't the first occasion in the recent past that a Congress leader has come up with such a remark. Just a couple of days back, Belur Gopalkrishna had demanded people to 'target and kill' PM Modi, asking them if 'they have guts' during a rally.
