Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal on Tuesday responded to the sting operation conducted on Congress MP from Jalandhar Santokh Singh Chaudhary.
Badal has demanded that the Congress government in the state must register a criminal case without delay against Chaudhary. He also said that the Election Commission of India should take "cognizance of the nefarious act of Congress MP and he be arrested".
“Such open offers not only lure vulnerable money-bags having black money but also act as a threat to others that the UPA is coming to power suggesting that era of corruption is likely to revisit the system and they have no choice but to pay for favours”, Badal said.
Republic Bharat, ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, conducted an explosive sting which has captured three sitting Members of Parliament (MPs) from three different parties making a mockery of democracy by betraying the very people they took an oath to represent for personal pecuniary gain or favours.
In the second of three on-camera investigations, Republic Bharat exposes Congress Lok Sabha MP from Congress Santokh Singh Chaudhary, who openly accepts that demonetisation has choked the flow of Black money.
He also revealed that no politician is ready to take a risk as the process of procurement has become digital as compared to previous systems of contracts which made the money transaction easy.
However, when confronted by the channel about the sting, he denied ever claiming those things and said "I have never said this"
"This is a wrong statement. We are in this position for five years, anyone can come to us," he said.
After being told the impact of the sting conducted on him and pressed further the MP runs away.
