Lok Sabha Polls 2019: BJP chief Amit Shah welcomes declaration of 7-phase polls, calls upon people to turnout in record numbers to vote
The national elections are scheduled to take place in seven rounds beginning from April 11 to May 19, the results of which will be announced on May 23. BJP president Amit Shah took to Twitter, welcoming the declaration of elections for 17th Lok Sabha and urging the people of India to turnout in record numbers for the electoral process.

The national elections are scheduled to take place in seven rounds beginning from April 11 to May 19, the results of which will be announced on May 23, the Election Commission announced on Sunday. Voting for 543 Lok Sabha seats will be held across India on April 11, April 19, April 23, April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19.
Hours after Election Commission announced the 2019 polls date, BJP president Amit Shah took to Twitter, welcoming the declaration of elections for 17th Lok Sabha and urging the people of India to turnout in record numbers for the electoral process.
Further in his tweets, Amit Shah spoke about the achievements of the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that 'Indian economy has emerged as the fastest growing economy' under NDA government.
He went on to suggest certain initiatives that PM Modi launched for the betterment of the nations.
