Candidates from all parties seemed confident of a positive result for their parties and hoped to form a government. NCP leader Supriya Sule was asked about the issues in the state of Maharashtra and if the BJP is facing some trouble because of the aggressive campaign in the two states. She said, "In my opinion, this is a state election and we will seek votes only in the name of development. Development has been our aim. If there wasn't a huge problem, then so many BJP leaders would not have come to seek votes. The fact that so many senior leaders came to seek votes explains a lot in itself."
