Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold three public rallies in poll-bound Maharashtra on Wedneday. The Prime Minister will address rallies in Akola, Jalna, and Panvel districts of Maharashtra. According to reports, he will highlight the work and schemes implemented in Maharashtra by the BJP Government. He is also likely to emphasise on the schemes and decisions of the Central Government like the Abrogation of Article 370 in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, the triple talaq, and the National Register of Citizens (NRC). Earlier, Union Minister Smriti Irani had said that Prime Minister is campaigning in Maharashtra to guide and encourage candidates of the BJP.

BJP releases manifesto for Maharashtra

The BJP released its manifesto for Maharashtra on Tuesday. In the manifesto, the party has promised a 'drought-free Maharashtra. The Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called it a 'sankalp-patra' commitment paper and said all the government aims to build a water rigid state and also ensure the free flow of rainwater. The party's working president JP Nadda said that the manifesto has three main pillars - 'drought, water, and employment'.  The BJP has promised to generate one crore jobs in the state, sanitary napkin at Rs. 1 for women, all the village panchayat to be connected via broadband internet, every district to have ATAL Vigyan Kendra and to get the investment of Rs 5 lakh crore in infrastructure projects, among others.

Prime Minister Modi's rally in Haryana

The Prime Minister also held a rally in Haryana's Dadri where elections are due. In his address, the Prime Minister emphasised on the issues that his government has resolved in Haryana. He also slammed the previous Governments for ignoring the state of Haryana.

Maharashtra and Haryana Assembly Polls

Both Haryana and Maharashtra Assembly elections are to be held on October 21, while the counting will be held on October 24. In Maharashtra, the polls will be fought to select 288 members in the Legislative Assembly, while Harayana will elect 90 members for the Assembly.
