Republic TV and CVoter have come together to present the nation's mood with the 'National Approval Ratings' which will ascertain who will win if the 2019 Lok Sabha elections were held today. While the political landscape of the country has changed drastically over the time, the largest and most accurate survey is here to bring the elections mood of the nation here. In the state of Bihar, there are 40 crucial seats up for grabs and the way it is looking right now, with the present alliances neither side is changing the game too much.
NDA is set to get 31 seats, like it did in 2014.
UPA is set to get 9 seats, 2 more than it got in 2014.
Despite gaining Nitish Kumar in it's fold, the NDA's projection remains status quo with it's 2014 tally given the fact that its 31 seats is not moving despite Nitish Kumar’s addition. However, the BJPs individually tally from the 22 seats in 2014 has declined to a 16 seat projection in October 2018, which means that Sushil Kumar Modi’s own popularity in the state has seen a significant decline.
With the election numbers of Bihar out in public, Sushil Kumar Modi, former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister has debated to his opinion on NDA setting to get 31 seats in the upcoming election, just like in the 2014 elections:
"If there is the question of anybody going out of NDA, nobody will try to vote the sinking ship of Lalu Yadav and Congress. So, I don't think anybody is going out of NDA. That is not the question anymore. According to our assessment, the fight in Bihar is 70 percent versus 30 percent. Everything revolves around the social equation in Bihar. The social combination of 70 per cent is in favour of NDA and hardly 35 percent is in favour of UPA (RJD+congress). When Nitish Kumar was not in NDA, we got 31 seats. But, if Nitish Kumar joins NDA we are confident that we will cross more than 35-36 seats in the Lok Sabha. When people have to choose between Rahul Gandhi, Narendra Modi or Lalu Prasad Yadav, the figure will increase upto 37-38 Lok Sabha seats," said Sushil Kumar Modi.
