PM Modi calls upon KCR, Naveen Patnaik, Kumaraswamy, Chandrababu Naidu and Jagan Mohan Reddy to aid in increasing 2019 election voter turnout
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media, on Wednesday, called upon the chief ministers and leaders of the regional parties of Southern states to work towards bringing maximum Indians to the polling booths in the upcoming polls.

The countdown to Lok Sabha elections 2019 has begun, and the citizens are gearing up to cast their votes to elect a new government. With hardly a month left for the elections to commence 543 Lok Sabha constituencies, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media, on Wednesday, called upon the chief ministers and leaders of the regional parties of Southern states to work towards bringing maximum Indians to the polling booths in the upcoming polls.
PM Mod posted a tweet tagging, Telangana CM and TRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao, Karnataka CM and JD(S) leader Kumaraswamy, Odisha CM and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik, Andhra Pradesh CM and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu along with YSRCP president Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy - saying 'May voter awareness efforts be strengthened across the length and breadth of India'.

Earlier on Wednesday, he posted a tweet appealing to Congress president Rahul Gandhi, TMC chief and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, SP leader Akhilesh Yadav, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and DMK chief MK Stalin to encourage people to vote.
In his blog on Wednesday, PM Modi shared 'Four requests for Democracy' from appealing to the eligible young voter to register for voting to encouraging the people to spread awareness about the importance to vote in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
The Election Commission on Sunday announced the dates of General Elections 2019. The nation will go into polls in seven phases beginning from April 11 till May 19. The counting of votes for all the states is scheduled to take place on May 23.
