Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his election rally on Monday in Haryana's Ballabgarh said that the state now has a strong leader with a strong team. PM Modi took a jibe at the opposition leaders who questioned him ahead of the previous assembly election in Haryana over the BJP not having a CM face then. “I remember 5 years ago before Haryana elections when I used to talk about forming government in Haryana, the opposition leaders used to poke me continuously saying ‘You are asking for votes but who is your captain? And my answer to them was that if Haryana people blessed us, then we will not only have a strong captain but a strong team too. Today that strong captain is in front of you, and you have witnessed a strong team too.” PM Modi said.

'Those who questioned me are now splitting up'

Slamming the opposition further, PM Modi said, “Imaging the coincidence, the people who questioned me of the captain five years ago, today they are trying so hard to unite their team. The more they are trying to unite, the more they are splitting up.”

Addressing the huge crowd, PM Modi questioned, “Those people who always worked for their own selfish motives and got scattered in the process, will they ever be able to work for the progress of Haryana?”.
