It seems the troubles is to be mounting for the Congress. The party which is trying to douse fire in Gujarat as it has lost four leaders to BJP and witnessing a fight between Alpesh Thakur and Hardik Patel over who will be the party face, as per sources, a similar in-fighting between leaders of the Congress in Punjab is also taking place.
Senior leader Manish Tewari, Pawan Kumar Bansal and Navjot Kaur Sidhu are all eyeing one seat which is in the Union Territory in Chandigarh for the Lok Sabha 2019 polls, said sources.
Pawan Kumar Bansal is from Chandigarh and was a minister in the Congress regime in the state. He had fought the Lok Sabha polls 2014 and lost to BJP's Kirron Kher.
Manish Tewari has been vying for contesting from this seat since a long time but he was sent to Ludhiana in 2014. But Tewari did not contest because of health issues.
Navjot Kaur Sidhu is Navjot Singh Sidhu is also a prominent leader and was a minister during the BJP-SAD rule.
Rahul Gandhi has been apprised of the the situation and he will finalize the candidate for the seat, the sources added.
In the National Approval Ratings for the Union Territory, the NDA was projected to win the single seat in the Lok Sabha 2019 polls. The AAP was projected to not make any mark in the state.

UPA: 0 seats
NDA: 1 seat
Others: 1 seat
For the state of Punjab the survey for March shows that UPA is likely to win big in Punjab with the alliance likely to bag 12 seats, while the NDA is likely to get just one seat. AAP which had aspired to make inroads in the state for the Lok Sabha polls is not likely to find any footing as numbers project that it will get zero seats.
