The younger of the Gandhi siblings addressed her first rally post officially joining Congress on Tuesday in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. In the presence of her brother and Congress president Rahul Gandhi, she expressed her satisfaction coming to Gujarat for the first time and visiting the Sabarmati Ashram, from where Mahatma Gandhi began his Dandi march.

Priyanka then shifted her attention to the upcoming elections which is less than a month away by stating that country is presently going a tough time under the BJP regime and what people should do to secure their future.

"Your vote is a weapon, but it is a weapon through which no one should be hurt or wounded. It is a weapon which we make the people strong. People have to deeply think about what they are going to choose. They are going to choose their future. Unwanted issues should not be raised, but only the issues like jobs for youths, women empowerment, farmer issues should be raised," she said.
