A day after Congress party announced that it would not be fighting SP-BSP-RLD seats in Uttar Pradesh, leaving seven seats namely Mainpuri, Kannauj among others for the SP-BSP-RLD bigwigs, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati on Monday slammed the Rahul Gandhi-led party by rejecting its offer of not fielding candidates on those seven seats.

In a tweet in Hindi, the former U.P CM lashed out at Congress saying that the there are no chances of an alliance of BSP-SP with Congress in any state of the country.

"The BSP, once again, wants to make it clear that we don't have any synergies or alliance with Congress in Uttar Pradesh or any other part of the country. Our people must not get confused with the misleading information spread by the Congress party," Mayawati's tweet read.

In another tweet, Mayawati asserted that the Congress is free to contest in all 80 seats in the politically crucial Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming Lok Sabha 2019 elections, adding that the BSP-SP combine has enough potential to defeat the BJP in the state. She then asked the Congress to not to mislead the people of Uttar Pradesh by leaving seven seats for the gathbandhan in the state.

"The Congress is also completely free to contest its candidates in all 80 seats and fight the election alone in Uttar Pradesh. Moreover, our alliance in the state has the full capability of defeating the BJP alone. Congress must not spread confusion by leaving 7 seats for the alliance in U.P," read the second tweet by BSP supremo.
