With hardly a month left for the nation to go into Lok Sabha polls, the Jana Sena party headed by Pawan Kalyan entered into an alliance with after with BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party)-led by Mayawati on Friday. Addressing the press briefing over the alliance, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan announced that he would like to see Mayawati as the next Prime Minister of the country in the 2019 polls.
"We would like to see Behen ji Mayawati ji as the Prime Minister of India, this is our wish and our ardent desire," Pawan Kalyan said while addressing the press briefing in the presence of BSP supremo Mayawati.
Meanwhile, BSP chief Mayawati confirmed that her party and Jana Sena will fight elections together in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Apparently, there have been earlier attempts as well wherein Mayawati has been picturised as the face of next Prime Minister of India. On the occasion of Mayawati's 63rd birthday in January, BSP leaders had declared her India's next Prime Minister months ahead of upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Interestingly, Republic TV earlier on Friday learnt that Mayawati is all set to campaign for Mayawati is all set to campaign for Samajwadi Party head Mulayam Singh Yadav on April 19 in Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri constituency during a joint rally of BSP-SP alliance.
Amid the bitter relationship since 1995 with Mayawati, former Uttar Pradesh chief minister and Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav had announced in the Lok Sabha in February that he wants PM Narendra Modi back as the next Prime Minister.
While addressing the members of Parliament, standing right next to Congress Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, his words were, "We want you to become the Prime Minister once again." - Mulayam Singh Yadav said for PM Modi.
