Plunged in an embarrassing situation, the new member of the Congress party, Hardik Patel was greeted with a thunderous echo of Modi chants while addressing a crowd in at Jamnagar, Gujarat on the occasion of Holi.
In a video accessed by Republic TV, even before Hardik Patel could speak his speech was drowned down by the 'Modi Modi' chants in PM Narendra Modi's home-state, Gujarat.
The visuals showcase how a crowd of youngsters, cloaked in Holi colours loudly chant for PM Narendra Modi, thus overpowering Hardik Patel's voice by not allowing him to speak. During his Holi rally, the 'Modi Zindaba' chants take such a centerstage that the Congress leader's voice is absolutely dissolved making it barely audible in the video.
In another incident, when the crowd was chanting for PM Narendra Modi, in Karnataka, a Congress-JDU-led state on March 18 the police arrested few techies for raising pro-Modi slogans at Manyata tech park in Bengaluru.
As seen in the video, the two youth are hauled up by the Karnataka police and taken to the station.
The Karnataka state police have booked a case against the youth who had chanted slogans supporting PM Modi.
Even earlier on Wednesday, a third-year college student was attacked, heckled, intimidated and physically threatened by Congress workers on Wednesday at the venue of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's event in Varanasi. The college student, identified as Aparna Vishwakarma, was gheraoed by the Congress workers as she was wearing a 'NaMo Again' t-shirt and speaking to media persons at Assi Ghat.
In the dramatic sequence which has been caught on tape from start to finish, the third-year student, wearing NaMo Again t-shirt, is being interviewed by Republic TV's reporter. As she airs her views, Congress workers step forward to eavesdrop, and as she says that she is a fan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they begin to interrupt the interview by casting aspersions.
