A video went viral from Anupam Kher's door-to-door campaign for Kirron, where the actor was seen walking out of a shop when the shopkeeper (who was seen holding BJP’s 2014 election manifesto) and asked Anupam, “How many promises has BJP fulfilled in the last 5 years?”.
The actor in response to the viral tweet wrote: "कल @KirronKherBJP के चुनाव प्रचार के दौरान ऑपज़िशन वालों ने दो लोगों को एक दुकान में प्लांट किया था मुझसे @BJP4India के 2014 मैनिफ़ेस्टो पर सवाल पूछने के लिए।मैंने पीछे खड़े आदमी को विडीओ बनाते देखा सो मैं आगे बढ़ गया।आज वीडीयो जारी किया।दाड़ी वाले की हँसी से चोरी पकड़ी गयी🤣👇" [sic]
In Translation: During the campaigning of @KirronKherBJP, the Opposite people planted two people in a shop to ask me questions on the 2014 Manifesto of BJP4India.I saw the man standing behind making the video and that is why I went ahead.Today they released the video. The one with the beard was laughing which means the mischief was caught
Meanwhile, the Election Commission issued a notice to BJP's Chandigarh candidate Kirron Kher, seeking a reply after she shared a video on Twitter in which children were seen campaigning for her.
However, in her reply, Kher said it was done "unintentionally", acknowledging that it was "wrong".
"Some party worker sent it and my social media team shared it...Sometimes because of rush of work and enthusiasm, people do it and which is wrong. Children should not be used for this at all. I agree with that and it was not done intentionally... So it was very bad, not good and it should not have been done," she said.
