"The countrymen should understand that this is not a casual statement but reflects his ideology", Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday lashed out at Congress leader Digvijaya Singh after the former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister termed Pulwama terror attack as an "accident". Addressing a rally in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar, Prime MInister Modi launched an unsparing attack on Digvijaya Singh for downplaying the valour of Indian Armed Forces. He said:

"The party which ruled the country for the longest time and restricted our brave soldiers, now the netas of the same party are questioning the valour of our security forces".

Furthermore, taking a dig at Digvijaya Singh, the Prime Minister said:

"There is a politician from Madhya Pradesh who is one step ahead in this race. Today, the same politician termed the Pulwama terror attack as an accident. That means: an accident that just took place. The countrymen should understand that this not a casual statement but reflects his ideology. Now, they have started terming the terror activities as accidents to save the terrorists".

He then asked the crowd whether Pulwama was an accident to which the crowd in one voice said "No".

"Answer me, was Pulawama terror attack an accident? Was it an accident? Is this an attempt to fade down the attack? This politician is a close associate of Namdaar family who considers terrorists as messenger of peace. He is the same person who used to consider Osama Bin Laden as a messenger of peace. He is the same person who gave a clean chit to Pakistan in 26/11 Mumbai terror attack", he concluded.
