Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday took on the Congress party and other members of the Opposition who have questioned the potency and effectiveness of the Indian Air Force's strike on Pakistan's terror bases.

"They are trying to strike Modi, while Modi is busy striking terrorists", the Prime Minister said, adding, "I have full faith that you will strengthen your chowkidaar - your pradhan sevak's resolve."

Watch what PM Modi said in Ahmedabad in the video above.

Earlier on Tuesday, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and Congress leader Digvijaya Singh resorted to shameful 'strike politics' by terming the Pulwama terror attack as an "accident".

After attracting flak for his statement, Digvijaya Singh has now posted a counter question and attacked "Modi Ji ki troll army" for not answering his questions on the airstrike.

Few minutes after his "accident" statement, Digvijaya Singh took to Twitter and justified: "Is there a doubt that Pulwama was a terrorist attack? Even after this, Modi Ji's troll army has failed to answer the main question".

On Monday, in his most thunderous speech since the dastardly Pulwama terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took on those politicians who had questioned the security forces in the past few days, particularly over the efficacy of the air-strikes against Pakistani terror factories, as also perhaps, over the September 2016 Surgical Strikes.

He fired off a set of warnings that terrorists and their backers in Pakistan would have heard loud and clear - about how those who had perpetrated the 2008 Ahmedabad bombings should have been hunger down wherever they are and exacted revenge upon, and that he wouldn't spare those who had murdered innocent Indians even if they fled to the seventh circle of hell.

After this, he took on those politicians who have questioned the security forces out of spite for him:

"And look at the country's misfortune... I don't know what has happened to some people. Look at the Pakistani newspapers today. What Indian netas are saying become headlines of Pakistani papers. Such netas say such things that it's being shown on Pak channels, discussed in Pakistan's Parliament. Is this in the national interest? Will you say such things that they will clap in Pakistan?"
