Union Minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma has launched a derogatory remark against TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, Karnataka chief minister H. D. Kumaraswamy, and the Gandhi siblings- Rahul and Priyanka.
Dissing the chief ministers of West Bengal and Karnataka, the Union Minister said that no one could watch the two of them 'dance or sing'
He said, "Agar Mamata Banerjee yahan aa karke Kathak kare aur Karnataka Chief Miniser geet gaye toh kaun sun raha hai?"
(If Mamata Banerjee comes and dances here, and the Karnataka chief minister sings, then who is listening?)
During his address in Sikandrabad, the BJP leader making a mockery out of Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi upon her entrance into politics as the General Secretary of Uttar Pardesh East said 'Ab Pappu ki Pappi bhi agayi hai' (now Pappu's Pappi is here as well), while commending Prime Minister Modi in the same breath.
He said, "Pappu kehta hai ki PM banunga,ab toh Pappu ki Pappi (Priyanka Gandhi)bhi aa gayi.Inse upar uth kar dekhna hai toh aaj humara sher Modi hai"
(Pappu (Rahul) says that I will be the Prime Minister, and now Pappu's Pappi (Priyanka Gandhi) is also here. If you want to rise above them and see, then Modi is our lion)
This is not the first time that BJP has mocked Priyanka Gandhi's arrival in politics, but BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya back in January said that Congress was fielding "chocolaty" faces into Lok Sabha pools as it has a dearth of strong leaders.
He said, "A Congress leader demands that Kareena Kapoor should be fielded from Bhopal Lok Sabha seat. Sometimes others talk about fielding Salman Khan from Indore. Likewise, Priyanka (Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra) was also brought into active politics."
And prior to that, a BJP leader from Bihar said that Congress' appointment of Priyanka Gandhi-Vadra was to garner for votes using beautiful faces.
"Even today, I agree that the Congress is being delusional. Using beautiful faces, they (Congress) cannot ask for votes from the people. And if they think like that - Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is beautiful and Congress will win seats using her beauty, they are not thinking straight. India's democracy is mature and such a decision is not good for our democracy," Vinod Narayan Jha said.
