Asaduddin Owaisi during Republic TV's show called 'On the Road' speaks about what led to his his unique friendship with K Chandrasekar Rao (KCR).
Owaisi says that he and KCR stood on the opposite sides on the issue of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. But after he saw KCR quit the Congress to form Telangana Rashtra Samiti and his work as Telangana CM he began viewing him differently.
"We (AIMIM) opposed the formation of Telangana as that it itself made him (KCR) and I on the opposite side of political equilibrium. I started respecting KCR after he resigned as a Deputy Speaker and he formed TRS and won the by-election. My view is that this man is a different person, leaving a ruling party and resigning from Deputy Speaker post, I started respecting him despite opposing the bifurcation then. After he became CM of Telangana and we extended our support to him our apprehension have been proven wrong as in the last 1.5 years there is in Telangana. As far as Telanaga is concerned there have been no communal riots and the governance has been fantastic. Telangana has grown as a huge investment area, in software the investment has increased, it is still behind Bengaluru. Thirdly, his political acumenship and last point is his programmes relating to development of minorities, of SC and ST especially of residential schools in Telangana. You will that shows his mindset."
Asaduddin Owaisi who does not mince words showed the world how India stands together when it comes to fighting terror.
Recently, following the controversy over Mehbooba Mufti's sarcastic tweet over Air India's announcement where it said that the crew will have to say "Jai Hind" after every flight announcement where alleged the chant was being politicised, AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi had given a perfect reply to her remark which demolishes her line of thinking.
IMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi was asked on Tuesday about his take on Mufti's comment.
After being explained the entire controversy, he had just two words explaining his view. "My take is - Jai Hind."
