'1 Indian, 3 Indian-Origin persons killed at Cincinnati in US', informs EAM Sushma Swaraj

External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday confirmed the death of four members of a Sikh family at an apartment complex in US's Cincinnati.

External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday confirmed the death of four members of a Sikh family at an apartment complex in US's Cincinnati. The minister said that while one was an Indian national on a visit to US, the others were "persons of Indian origin".

"The matter is under investigation by the Police but it is not a hate crime. Our Consul General in New York is coordinating with the concerned authorities and will keep me informed me on this," she tweeted.

Earlier on , in a string of blasts that shook Sri Lanka, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj notified about the Indian citizens who lost their lives.

In a series of tweets, Swaraj affirmed that eight blasts have taken place and that she spoke to the Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka H.E. Mr.Tilak Marapana who confirmed the passing of 207 people. 

She further revealed that the National Hospital has informed about the death of three Indian nationals and that further details are being ascertained.
