Addressing BJP workers at the Indira Gandhi stadium in Delhi, party president Amit Shah rallied for his party, questioning the Congress party for 1984 anti-Sikh riots and called the upcoming General elections, like the ones that will change the era.

He elaborated how there are plenty of reasons why Prime Minister Modi should carry forward with his duties to lead the world by being elected in 2019 elections, further citing how these elections are as big as the ones in 1977 where the Congress party lost its control over India for the first time after independence.

He said, "There are a lot of reasons for victory. There are a lot of issues to prove that Modiji should be given the baton to govern the country. The elections of 2019 are not ordinary. Elections are of two types, one where a result is out and one is elected for five years and then there are such elections which change an era. Like there was one in the year 1977, where the Congress rule was uprooted by the people of this country, replacing it with the BJP that strengthened the democracy of this country."

Calling these elections the end of dynastic politics, and the beginning to take the ideologies of BJP ahead, he said, "And then there is an election in the year 2019, that will hammer the last nail on the coffin of those who play dynasty, casteist and appeasement politics and the elections to take the ideologies of BJP forward."

He claimed how elections in Delhi are between three parties, BJP, AAP, and Congress, further drew an attack on Delhi's chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and Congress president Rahul Gandhi calling them "liars". Shah even called out Congress for supporting the culprits of 1984 riots, citing Congress leader Sajjan Kumar's life imprisonment verdict.

He said, "In Delhi, the elections are mainly between three parties- the BJP, AAP, and Congress. In an independent India, Arvind Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi have done the job of lying and the incidents unfolding back to back is encouraging them to lie more often."

"Recently, the Delhi High Court awarded life imprisonment to Congress leader Sajjan Kumar, I'd like to ask the party today that why were the culprits of 1984 anti-Sikh riots were not punished, because they were in support of those people," he added.
