72nd Independence Day Speech: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Celebrates Those Who Brought Laurels To The Nation

On the occasion of the 72nd Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort in Delhi. The Prime Minister began his fifth Independence Day speech by wishing everyone a Happy Independence Day and celebrating citizens who brought laurels to the nation. Addressing the women power in the nation, Prime Minister Modi said that the women of the country from various states have travelled across the oceans to bring laurels to the country. On this occasion, he also celebrated the Adivasi kids living in the jungle, who climbed the Mount Everest and made the country more proud with their achievement.  

Talking about the recently concluded Lok Sabha Assembly, he said that the assembly proceeded successfully and it was dedicated completely to strengthening constitutional laws. The Parliament House, he said, has made the constitutional laws stronger by equally favouring people from various communities.

“Whether it is the Dalits, victims, the intellectual, the denied or women, the Parliament has worked hard to make the constitutional laws stronger,” he said. 

Talking about the OBC commission’s demand, he said that the Parliament gave approval to the OBC commission for a constitutional position after years of them demanding for it.

“By giving the OBC commission a constitutional representation, the Government is trying to fight for their rights,” Modi said.

India recently secured the sixth position in the list of the best economic country in the world. He said that the nation is celebrating Independence in such a positive environment where the nation is on the path of development. Modi also saluted all the young freedom fighters who fought relentlessly for the nation's Independence and also acknowledged the brave soldiers who constantly guard the borders of the county and protect its citizens. He also acknowledged the Police force who work day and night for the safety of the people.

"I salute all the soldiers, paramilitary forces and the police force for their services and sacrifice from the ramparts of the Red Fort along with the tricolour," he said. 

Addressing the floods in the nation that has caused severe damage, the Prime Minister said that he and the nation will stand by those who had to face a tough time and lost their near and dear ones.
