In a massive development in the AgustaWestland scam, sources have told Republic TV that the middleman in the AgustaWestland chopper scam- James Christian Michel has been arrested in Dubai. As per reports, Michel was brought into the deal at the last stage and he allegedly took bribes on behalf of Indian Netas. The alleged links to top-notch ministers are being investigated.
Top sources have told Republic TV that Michel was earlier detained let off by the authorities, he was then re-arrested in Dubai. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) confirmed Michel arrest and said that his extradition process is currently on and supporting documents have been submitted to the court.
This comes a day after both CBI and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) failed to submit essential evidence against Michel, before the UAE courts, and later alleged that the Agusta middlemen’s lawyer has been making false claims.
Sources to Republic has earlier said that the middleman might turn a whistleblower and spill the beans on several politicians.
Republic TV has accessed details of a comprehensive charge sheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper scandal before the Patiala House Court.
The charge sheet names a total of 34 people and firms, however, does not mention the name of Christian Michel. The list of firms include names of both Indian and foreign companies.
