As the World gears up for the 5th International Yoga Day, the Delhi Police issued a traffic advisory detailing the diversion of vehicular movement. It has also provided instructions on how to avoid roads leading to the venue

As the World gears up for the 5th International Yoga Day, which will be celebrated on June 21, the Delhi Police issued a traffic advisory detailing the diversion of vehicular movement. It has also provided instructions on how to avoid roads leading to the venue. The advisory said that a large gathering of approximately 30,000 people is expected to visit at 15th August Park, Red Fort in the morning of Friday.

Approximately 200 buses and 2000 cars are expected to come at Red Fort. They will be parked in the parking lots at Parade Ground, Sunheri Masjid & Tikona Park. The buses will be parked on service road of ring road behind Red Fort.

Delhi Police assured that it will ensure the smooth flow of traffic in and around Rajpath. They also said that plying of traffic may be restricted/diverted on certain roads. Delhi Police have advised the general public and motorists to avoid the following roads:

  • Rafi Marg
  • Janpath
  • Man Singh Road
  • Maulana Azad Road
  • Rajpath
  • Krisna Manon Marg
  • K Kam Raj Marg
  • Rajender Prasad Marg

Public is advised to avoid Rajpath on Friday upto 10.00am. Delhi Police has also advised avoiding Netaji Subash Marg and Nishad Raj Marg on Friday.

Prime Minister Modi on Friday shared a video demonstrating the beneficial effects of Meditation(Dhyana).
