Ahead Of Lok Sabha Election Results, Congress Candidate Vijender Singh Has A Major Reason To Celebrate; Ayushmann Khurrana Congratulates Boxer

A hectic few days of campaigning ended for Vijender Singh as Delhi went to polls on May 12, the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha polls. With less than 10 days to go for the election results, the Congress candidate from South Delhi had a different reason to celebrate as the boxer has been blessed with a baby boy.

Vijender made the announcement on Twitter, “And it’s a baby boy” along with feet and blushing emoticons. 

Ayushmann Khurrana was among those who wished the new father on Twitter, by addressing him as ‘Veer’ (brother) and sending his love. "Congrats veer! Loads of love."

Vijender, who apart from sports, has also acted in a movie and worked in a reality show, made headlines for his political foray recently. The boxer is pitted against Bharatiya Janata Party’s sitting Member of Parliament Ramesh Bidhuri and Aam Aadmi Party’s Raghav Chadha for South Delhi seat.

The last and final phase of the elections are to be held on May 19, while the results would be declared on May 23.
