Republic Media Network accessed report which said that the amusement ride collapsed in Kankaria Lake area in Ahmedabad, Gujarat area required repairs.
In what appears to be a prima facie case of negligence by the authorities at the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, the fitness report from July 6 clearly mentions the ride needed repairs and replacement of parts. The fitness report that was submitted to the AMC on July 6, 2019 states that there was a dire need to replace nut bolts and repair lights, etc but no such repair or replacement of parts was done by AMC.
The AMC had given a contract to operate the rides in the area to private contractors. An FIR has been registered against six people.
