Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar took to his Twitter handle to convey his condolences on the demise of former Delhi Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Sheila Dikshit.
Akshay said that Dikshit effectively changed the face of Delhi in her 15 years tenure from 1998. Read the tweet below -

The 81-year-old was appointed as the president of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee earlier this year, in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections.
Sheila Dixit's passing away
Dixit passed away due to ailments related to old age. She was born on 31 March 1938 and was the longest-serving Chief Minister of Delhi, serving for a period of 15 years from 1998 to 2013. Sources also informed that she breathed her last at 03:30 PM.

Dikshit had led the Congress party to three consecutive electoral victories in Delhi. In the December 2013 elections to the Delhi Legislative Assembly, She was defeated in New Delhi constituency by Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal, who replaced her as Delhi's chief minister.
