In a never-seen-before event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi poured his heart out on some of the lesser-known facts of his life in a freewheeling interview with Akshay Kumar that was broadcasted on ANI. From West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sending him kurtas and sweets, his love for swimming as a child, fondness for aamras, why he wears his watch backwards, were some of the interesting revelations in the interview. While fans of the duo went gaga over the interesting exchange, even Bollywood stars are now giving their thumbs up to it. Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Ekta Kapoor praised the interview on social media.
Anil was the most effusive in his love for both the ‘icons’ and praised them for their determination and discipline. The ‘Nayak’ star tweeted, “I'm so inspired by these icons who have committed their lives to working hard & striving for mental & physical strength each day...Their faces & body language reflect the inner poise and peace that comes with such discipline! @narendramodi @PMOIndia @akshaykumar.”
Anupam Kher in a message wrote that he loved PM’s sense of humour and ease with which he answered. PM in the interview had mentioned that the veteran actor’s ‘A Wednesday’ and Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Paa’, both at the end of the last decade, were the last films he watched when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. The ‘DDLJ’ star wrote that this fact made his ‘autobiography an interesting chapter.’
Ajay Devgn posted a short and sweet message, urging his fans to catch the ‘interesting snippets’.
TV queen Ekta Kapoor called it a ‘lovely, candid’ interview and praised the PM for his ‘endearing and warm side.’ The producer even shared the interview on her digital platform Alt Balaji’s Twitter handle.
