On Sunday evening, the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) students, who are portesting against the CAA, started pelting stones at the police personnel who were trying to stop them from moving further. The protests turned violent as students began to vandalise public property and torched up buses. In order to bring the situation under control, the police resorted to firing tear gas on the protesters, police official MS Randhawa said.
