Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot chaired a meeting with the Congress Legislature Party at his residence on Thursday.
The meeting was conducted to discuss the current state of the party as Rahul Gandhi has offered to resign from his position as Congress chief. However, the Congress legislature party in Rajasthan passed a unanimous resolution and expressed faith and confidence in the leadership of Rahul Gandhi:

In another tweet, Ashok Gehlot also said that the state legislature party has urged him to continue as the president and strengthen the party. Gehlot also appreciated the efforts taken by the Congress leader in the recent Lok Sabha polls.
As Rahul Gandhi's resignation drama continues, he yet again offered to step down as the party chief on Wednesday during CWC meeting. However, senior party leaders asked him not to, expressing faith in his leadership.
Tensions have been increasing within the Congress Party after Rahul Gandhi offered to step down as the Congress President earlier in May, taking morale responsibility of the party's loss in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Meanwhile, the Congress party's youth wing Indian Youth Congress (IYC) staged demonstrations right outside the residence of Rahul Gandhi urging him to continue as the party President.
Similarly, the Congress Party's counterparts from other states too appealed Rahul Gandhi to continue as the party President. The Kerala Pradesh Mahila Congress said that Rahul Gandhi was a broad-minded and compassionate leader:
